I started painting “time capsules“ when I first visited the gardens of Alfabia in Mallorca, Spain in 2006. To this day I recall the perfect afternoon when me and my husband sat by this beautiful pond, drinking strong Spanish coffee barefoot and watching the koi fish circle beneath our feet in silence and ease.
These are the moments when time stands still. When we are at total ease. I painted this moment, because I wanted to make it last and to have an easily accessible reminder that could take me back in time, whenever I wanted and needed it in my everyday life. Until today these are the most precious paintings.
We all have these special places and moments in our lives, when we feel completely relaxed and at ease, perfectly grounded in the moment and very attuned to our inner voice and wisdom.
